Our business idea was born from the lack of suitable products to take care of your skin and body when spending time in the harsh enviroment onboard an airplane. The extremely low relative humidity onboard commercial airplanes is very tough on our skin and bodies in general, and we therefore need to combat this to maintain a healthy skin. Due to the high altitude, the level of UV radiation is also higher, and todays airplane windows doesn’t filter out the damaging UV-B radiation, so we need to protect ourselfs against that. The SPF on regular products only reflects the protection against UV-A, so it doesn’t necessarily give the protection you need against UV-B. In addition, UV-B radiation doesn’t cause the outher layers of the skin to burn, so there is no easy way to tell if we’ve been exposed to harmful levels.
